Retained Colleges transferees MOCK HED with IMPUNITY

JAMMU : Reacting to the series of news items published by JK Global News  pertaining to non compliance of transfer orders issued by Higher Education Department (HED), the majority of Government Degree Colleges (GDC) in Kashmir as well as Jammu have relived teachers which were earlier retained on flimsy grounds, however,  still scores of Principals are fighting tooth and nail to justify retention of their blue eyed transferees for inexplicable reasons. 

Even, one Principal considered as ‘Man Friday’ of HED is sticking to his foul stance of not furnishing information to RTI applicant within stipulated time pertaining to retention of favorite teachers despite transfers order issued by HED.

It is learnt that due to retention of several transferees, the academics of several colleges have been badly affected. ”Prolong delay in reliving under transfer teachers results in poor academics of the colleges where they are  supposed to join within stipulated time to deliver”, rues one GDC Principal, preferring anonymity.

While scores of aggrieved Principals asserted that under Annual Transfer Drive, the HED has ordered reshuffling of teachers in a most justifiable manner. However, in some cases, the intransigence of some Principals in retaining transferees has made mockery of orders issued by Principal Secretary. The HED, instead of initiating disciplinary proceedings against these defaulters, is treating them with ”kids gloves”. 

The HED authorities must also review the cases of those obtained stay orders from Tribunal and act against them strictly as per rule of law.Those retained in GDC HIRANAGAR, GCOE,, GGM Science College, GCW Parade college, GDC Ramnagar college, GDC Bhaderwah and GCW Gandhi Nagar college are required to be relieved without further delay and favor from the HED, said another GDC Principal. MOST OF THESE RETAINED BLUE EYED TEACHERS ARE SERVING AT CURRENT PLACE OF POSTING FOR MORE THAN A DECADE, HE ADDED.

 

 

 

 

 

Interestingly, the information received through RTI in this regard is self explanatory which is an eye opener for the HED to act against the retained transferees without further delay in the larger interest of students and transparency endeavors of LG’s administration.
