JAMMU: The Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation Avny Lavasa has been “replaced” by J.S.Tandon in one order which is being widely circulated in social media and turn out to be fake and handiwork of mischievous elements.
Confirming the order as forged, the sources in GAD said that it’s fake. The order bearing the No 63 JK (GAD) of 2021 dated 19/2/2021 carried signature of Additional Secretary Charandeep Singh.
However, the order as a practice didn’t carried name of the officer which was replaced by officer mentioned in the order. Later, the news organisation whose name was embossed horizontally on this order has too denied it’s ownership on this fake order and warned of police action. Now, it’s for police to ascertain as to who was the mastermind behind this fake order.
Tandon was forcibly retired under deadwood policy on June 30, 2015 during BJP-PDP led Govt. Later, he was reinstated in 2017 by the Court. Presently Tandon is posted as Joint Managing Director, JKSRTC.
Expressing astonishment at fake order one officer preferring anonymity said “This fake order reflects the desperation of corrupt elements in the system against upright JMC Commissioner Avny Lavasa”
