JAMMU: In another bizzare incident owing to prevailing unwanted acts of traffic cops on roads, today the traffic authorities has issued a court challan to complainant in vengeance merely for apprising the IGP Traffic T.Namgyal about the eccentric behaviour of a cop who got broken the left view mirror of a sedan car being driven by this scribe.
On the assurance of the IGP Traffic, who advised the aggrieved to get in touch with the SSP traffic Pardeep Singh who has been instructed to resolved the matter.
On being briefed about the abnormal behavior of the errant cop, SSP assured that damage to the car will be compensated and to resolve the issue DSP traffic city is on the way.
To this, the complainant received a call from DSP traffic Shivali Kotwal who asked for a discussion over the issue in her office.
But on the request of the complainant, she along with her Lashkar of ten cops arrived at Kacchi Chawni check point near Shri Ranbir Library and start encouraging the accused cop namely Saddam Hussain for his unlawful act of causing damage to the car of the complainant.
When this complainant contested the illogical cock and bull story cooked by lady officer and reminded her about the unlawful act of his cop, DSP Shivali out of her mind said ” We are police and can do what ever we want. You can go to the court or police and file complaint against us.”
This lady officer must aware of fact that even an upright law abiding citizens is least bothered about police uniform and stars on shoulder and you are at full liberty to try the best misuse of it to satiate your childish ego.
Flying high in newly adorn uniform of police she immediately instruct one ASI to issue court challan of the complainant for driving without seat belt just to satisfy her ego.
This unfortunate incident happened at the same place where a couple of days ago two traffic cops fight with each other and tear their uniforms in full view of the public.
Pertinently, in similar such incident which has earned backlash and shame from all quarters, while acting abnormally few days ago one traffic cop has smashed the window panes of the car with baseball stick at TCP Nagrota causing serious injuries to eyes of the lady who was sitting inside the car.
No where in the civilized world, traffic cops resorts to such abnormal acts which only can be expected only from unlawful goondas on roads.
Justifying wrong acts of men in uniform is not a new thing in militancy infested state where many Police officers are cooling their heels in Jails for misusing their power in uniform and bring bad name to the J&K police who have saga of fame for sacrificing their lives for the safety of the citizens.
The indiscipline is at its peak in J&K Traffic Police Department especially in the area controlled by SSP traffic Pardeep Singh where no one even care for the instructions of IGP traffic who is known for impeccable honesty and integrity.
