    Khap leaders to join Wrestlers protest on Sunday

    NEW DELHI : Large number of Khap Panchayat leaders from Haryana, Uttar Pardesh and Rajasthan are marching to Jantar Mantar as mark solidarity with women wrestlers who are are protesting for the last 15 days, demanding removal of Wrestling Federation of India president and BJP MP Brij Bhushan and his arrest over charges of alleged sexual harassment of female wrestlers.

    In view of Khap leaders reaching at venue of protest, the Delhi Police has beefed up the security at the protest venue and at borders. The support from several khap leaders have kindled a ray of hope among the wrestlers which will help in getting more support for them in their fight against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.

    Meanwhile, the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) and the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU-Tikait) have also extended support to the agitating wrestlers and also threatened to lay a siege to New Delhi if the MP was not arrested within one week, the Indian Express reported.
